Fernando Laguarda: Fernando is a partner with the law firm of Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis LLP. He represents clients on matters involving telecommunications regulation, intellectual property and antitrust. In addition to successfully representing the first cable music service to be licensed under the Digital Performance Rights Act of 1995 he has litigated and appealed numerous issues involving music rights in federal court and is currently representing digital media companies before the Copyright Royalty Board proceeding to set rates and terms for licenses to make and distribute digital downloads. Fernando has extensive experience counseling clients in mergers, joint ventures, network formation, licensing and strategic planning. Prior to attending law school, Fernando was a social worker and spent two years as a health policy analyst in the Massachusetts Governor's Budget Bureau. He was born in Uruguay and speaks Spanish fluently. Fernando has previously served as General Counsel to the National Network Against Domestic Violence and is now the Board Chair. Fernando is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. He received an A.B., cum laude, in government from Harvard College (1988), and a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University (1994), where he was Notes and Comment Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
Tiffany Carr: Tiffany, a native of Florida, currently serves as the President and CEO of Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV), the statewide professional association representing Florida's 42 certified domestic violence centers. Tiffany, a 13-year veteran of the organization, spent much of her early tenure with FCADV organizing initiatives in Florida's rural communities and training nationally on the barriers to providing services to rural victims of domestic violence and their children. Tiffany serves as the primary individual responsible for advocating to the legislature for the passage of critical public policy initiatives and securing additional funding for Florida's centers. In 2005, Tiffany was appointed by President Bush to the National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women and most recently served as a key leader on Governor Charlie Crist's Transition Team. Tiffany served as the group leader overseeing the transition of six of Florida's state agencies that were responsible for public safety related issues. In 2005 Tiffany was honored with The Governor's Peace at Home Award, presented by Governor Jeb Bush for outstanding statewide leadership and advocacy. Additionally, Tiffany has been awarded a multitude of both state and national awards for her extensive advocacy fighting violence against women.
Christine Cappello: Christine serves as the manager of the PepsiCo Foundation. Before entering into this most recent position, Christine was the manager of Corporate Contributions of Altria Corporate Services, Inc. Christine worked for Altria Corporate Services for 30 years, beginning in the graphic arts department and eventually transitioning to corporate philanthropy. As the manager of Corporate Contributions, Christine was responsible for the Directed Altria Employee Fund, a public charity managed by employees; the Altria Dollars for Doers employee volunteer program, which has generated approximately $200,000 in annual corporate donations; and Altria's Technical Assistance Program, which enhanced capacity and sustainability of nearly 200 nonprofit organizations in the New York tri-state area. In addition to her service with the National Network to End Domestic Violence, Christine is also on the Leadership Council of the Support Center for Nonprofit Management in New York, NY and sits on the Board of Directors of Hillside Food Outreach in Thornwood, NY. Christine received her B.A. from Marymount College and earned her M.B.A. from The Wharton School the University of Pennsylvania.
Anne Crews: Since 1997, Anne has served as Vice President of Government Relations for Mary Kay, Inc. Her responsibilities include analyzing federal, state, and local legislation and regulations and political trends to access their impact on corporate operations, the Mary Kay Independent sales force and employees affiliated with Mary Kay Inc. Anne lobbies to propose, oppose or amend pertinent legislation and develops working relationships with other companies, business and trade associations in order to form coalitions that foster corporate interest. Anne is a member of the Board of Directors for the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence, Turtle Creek Association (Dallas) and Rollins College Alumni Association. Anne is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas, Inc., and a 1985 Leadership Texas program participant. Anne was also appointed and served two terms on the National Advisory Committee, Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. In 2006, Anne was named by Women's eNews as one of "21 Leaders for the 21st Century" for her advocacy against domestic violence.
Colleen Coble: Colleen is the Chief Executive Officer of the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, a position she has held since 1988. She has been an advocate for women and their children victimized by violence for more than 25 years, and an educator on progressive approaches to community interventions to address violence against women. As a public policy advocate since 1989, Colleen has obtained passage of major legislation benefiting battered and raped women: a far-reaching domestic violence arrest statute, establishment of the crime of domestic assault, criminalization of marital rape and stalking, first-time state funding for services to battered women, local funding initiatives for domestic violence shelters, custody and visitation changes to protect battered women and their children, protections for sexual assault victims, and statewide collection of law enforcement and homicide data on domestic violence crimes. In 1994 she obtained the nation's first federal disaster relief funding for battered women's services. Colleen was appointed by U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft to serve two consecutive two-year terms on the National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women. She has also been appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to serve on various statewide bodies addressing gender issues in the courts and has been appointed to statewide committees and task forces by Missouri Governors.
Shannon Eusey: Before joining Beacon Pointe Advisors, LLC, Shannon served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Roxbury Capital Management, LLC. Shannon is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts, is a member of Orange County's Young Presidents Organization and also serves on the Board of Miocean and the Friends of the Girl Scout Council of Orange County. Shannon graduated from the University of California Irvine and received her M.B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles Anderson School of Business.
Steve Hamline: Steve is the President & CEO, J. E. Dunn Rocky Mountain, Inc., a construction firm in Denver, Colorado. Under Steve's leadership and 27 year's experience, J. E. Dunn Rocky Mountain has experienced substantial growth and is well positioned for the future. Steve sits on a number of boards, including Junior Achievement - Rocky Mountain, Associated General Contractors of Colorado, Downtown Denver Partnership Civic Ventures, Memorial Hospital Foundation, Colorado Springs, UMB Bank Colorado, and United States Government Services Administration (GSA). Steve has had a long-time commitment to domestic violence issues, serving as Past Chairman of Hope House, a shelter for battered women, before becoming a member of the National Network to End Domestic Violence Board. Steve completed his architectural degree from the University of Kansas in 1979 and immediately went to work for J. E. Dunn Construction in their corporate headquarters in Kansas City. Steve also obtained an MBA from Rockhurst University.
Victoria Shire Dinges: Victoria is the Assistant Vice President of Public Social Responsibility for the Allstate Insurance Company. As Assistant Vice President, she is responsible for furthering Allstate's efforts to build leadership through strategic philanthropy and corporate social responsibility. Victoria leads and coordinates Allstate's public social responsibility efforts in the key focus areas of The Allstate Foundation, Allstate's Teen Safe Driving and Domestic Violence signature programs, volunteerism, annual corporate social responsibility reporting and the company's Chicago cultural and civic initiatives. Victoria is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society and the Executives' Club of Chicago, and a President's Circle Member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Victoria earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg School of Management.
Lupita Reyes: Lupita was appointed National Program Director of the Verizon Foundation in January 2006. In this role she is responsible for strategy development, grant administration and relationship management for the Foundation's safety and health programs including domestic violence prevention, healthcare, accessibility, and internet safety. Promoting relationships with national organizations in domestic violence, Lupita has appeared in local and multi-lingual TV markets in New Jersey, DC, and Florida to advance domestic violence prevention, healthcare and Thinkfinity.org, Verizon's signature cause. In 2008, Lupita was one of several Hispanic corporate executives recognized by ASPIRA for distinguished service professionally and in the community. Previously, Lupita sat on the Board of Los Angeles Valley College, a college serving primarily disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles. Lupita holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Incarnate Word College.
